Basketball Recap: Jayhawk Linn Comes Up Short

Jayhawk Linn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pleasanton Blu-Jays. While losing is never fun, the Jayhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Blu-Jays are ranked 88th).

Jayhawk Linn now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Pleasanton, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Looking ahead, Jayhawk Linn will host Lebo on Tuesday. As for Pleasanton, they will face off against Northeast on Tuesday. The Blu-Jays will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
