Volleyball Recap: Sylvania Comes Up Short

Sylvania lost against Geraldine last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rams took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-10.

Leading Geraldine to victory were Mylee Pittman and Cassie Burns. Pittman had six digs and five aces, while Burns had 12 digs and two assists. Burns is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Sylvania has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Geraldine, their record is now 18-25.

Geraldine didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Fyffe on the 11th. Hopefully Sylvania paid attention to the Bulldogs' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
