Softball Recap: Upper St. Clair Victorious

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Upper St. Clair ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Western Beaver Golden Beavers 6-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Brooklyn Kemp was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over nine innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits. Kemp was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sydney Fisher, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Alexa Demas, who went 2-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.

Upper St. Clair's record is now 2-0. As for Western Beaver, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Upper St. Clair will welcome New Castle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Western Beaver, they will take on Montour at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
