Volleyball Recap: Tri County Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kenzi Scherling and Alaina Kopf

Tri County lost against Exeter-Milligan/Friend back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-2.

Tri County took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 20-25, 22-25, 25-23, 15-9.

Tri County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Alaina Kopf, who had 27 digs and seven aces, and Kenzi Scherling, who had ten digs. Kopf has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Leading Exeter-Milligan/Friend to victory were Taylin Schluter and Kendall Filipi. Schluter had 20 digs and one assist, while Filipi had ten digs and two aces.

Tri County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-15 record this season. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-5.

Tri County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Sutton on the 1st.
