Softball Game Preview: Union City Golden Tornadoes vs. Obion County Rebels

The Union City Golden Tornadoes will square off against the Obion County Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Obion County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Union City, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Union City beat Peabody 8-5. The Golden Tornadoes haven't had any issues with the Golden Tide recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Obion County was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They lost 11-1 to Covington.

Union City's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Obion County, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Union City might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Obion County in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. Can Union City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
