Football Recap: Dowagiac Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Dowagiac was riding high fresh off their 35-9 takedown of South Haven last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chieftains fell 21-17 to the Three Rivers Wildcats on Friday. While the Chieftains had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Wildcats 14-8.

Skyler Vincek threw for 63 yards on six of 16 attempts. On the ground, Devin Rock rushed for 56 yards.

Dowagiac's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Three Rivers, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Dowagiac and Three Rivers will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Chieftains will face off against rival Benton Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Three Rivers is set to challenge their familiar foe Otsego at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
