Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jaycee Harrison and Bailey Nettleton Lead Tahoma to Victory

Tahoma proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 29) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the WF West Bearcats, sneaking past 68-65. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since December 1, 2023.

Leading Tahoma to victory were Bailey Nettleton and Jaycee Harrison. Nettleton went 8 of 15 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and three steals, while Harrison posted 11 points along with eight assists and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Nettleton a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adalynn S Busch, who had 14 points and six rebounds.

Tahoma smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Tahoma's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for WF West, with the defeat, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-1.

Tahoma wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 41-37 loss against Mead on the 27th. As for WF West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-37 victory against Lake Stevens on the 27th.
