Basketball Game Preview: Fort Campbell Falcons vs. Logan County Cougars

The Fort Campbell Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Logan County Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Logan County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Fort Campbell, who comes in off a win.

Fort Campbell will bounce into Monday's match after beating Fort Knox, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Fort Campbell took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 56-9 victory over Fort Knox. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 28 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Logan County suffered their closest loss since December 22, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of Franklin-Simpson by a score of 45-42. The matchup was a 15-15 toss-up at halftime, but the Cougars couldn't quite close it out.

The win was the third in a row for Fort Campbell, bringing their record for this year to 6-10. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 15.3 points over those games. As for Logan County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season.

Fort Campbell was dealt a bruising 65-26 defeat at the hands of Logan County in their previous meeting back in February of 2017. Can Fort Campbell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
