Softball Game Preview: Evergreen Valley Cougars vs. Presentation Panthers

The Evergreen Valley Cougars will face off against the Presentation Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Evergreen Valley had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Pioneer put an end to it on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Mustangs, falling 15-2. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Evergreen Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sakura Roberts, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Archbishop Mitty hit Presentation with a six-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers lost 13-6 to the Monarchs. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Monarchs recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Evergreen Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Presentation, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.

Evergreen Valley couldn't quite get it done against Presentation in their previous meeting back in April of 2021 as they fell 3-0. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
