Lafayette won the last time they faced Acadiana and Brae'Ona Smith did her part to make sure it happened again. The Lions blew past the Rams 3-0 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Smith, who had 20 digs and two assists. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Lafayette's got stronger as the match went on, holding Acadiana to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-18, 25-13.

Lafayette is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Acadiana, their loss dropped their record down to 17-12.
