Basketball Game Preview: Wakefield Wolverines vs. Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Spartans

The Wakefield Wolverines will challenge the Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wakefield is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, Wakefield had to suffer through a 68-32 loss at the hands of South Garner.

Despite their loss, Wakefield saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kate Benson, who posted nine points and four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Benson is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Holmes, who scored seven points.

Meanwhile, Southern School of Energy and Sustainability came up short against Terry Sanford on Friday and fell 71-61. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.
