Basketball Recap: Triumph Charter's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Triumph Charter won the last time they faced Lakeview Charter, and Antonio Garcia III did his part to make sure it happened again. The Triumph Charter Jaguars took their match on Friday with ease, bagging an 83-27 win over the Lakeview Charter Lions thanks in part to Garcia III, who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, ten rebounds, and 11 assists. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Juan Guerra was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The victory (which was Triumph Charter's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Lakeview Charter, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Triumph Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-47 defeat against Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary on the 18th. As for Lakeview Charter, they will face off against Community Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeview Charter is facing Community Charter at the right time seeing as Community Charter is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
