Volleyball Game Preview: Lytle Pirates vs. Cotulla Cowboys

The Lytle Pirates will head out to square off against the Cotulla Cowboys at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lytle is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Lytle came up short against Natalia and fell 3-1.

Lytle started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 27-25, 25-17, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Cotulla came up short against Jourdanton on Friday, falling 3-0. The Cowboys have struggled against the Indians/Squaws recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-10, 25-18.

Cotulla's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Lytle, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-19.

Lytle took their victory against Cotulla in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
