Baseball Recap: The Covenant Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If The Covenant was feeling good fresh off their 28-4 takedown of Eastern Mennonite on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell just short of the Isle of Wight Academy Chargers by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Chargers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Will Park made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

The Covenant's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6. As for Isle of Wight Academy, their record now sits at 7-5.

Coming up, The Covenant will be playing at home against Roanoke Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Isle of Wight Academy, they will square off against Hampton Roads Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
