Volleyball Recap: Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering Comes Up Short

Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the MacArthur Mammoths. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Mammoths when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11.

MacArthur was led to victory by Carmen Glynn and Leilani Long. Glynn had nine aces and five assists, while Long had eight aces and four digs. Those eight aces gave Long a new career-high. Gabrielle Graham also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for MacArthur, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for MacArthur, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against McKinley Tech on the 23rd.
