Baseball Recap: Marmion Comes Up Short

Marmion suffered their biggest loss since March 25th on Friday. They came up short against the New Trier Trevians, falling 14-1. The Cadets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marmion saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adam Ozsvath, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Marmion's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-1. As for New Trier, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season.

Marmion is taking a road trip to square off against De La Salle at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cadets are facing the Meteors at the right time seeing as the Meteors are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for New Trier, they will be playing at home against Prospect at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Trevians surely won't give up without a fight.
