Baseball Recap: Friday Harbor Takes a Loss

Friday Harbor suffered their closest defeat since May 3, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Mount Vernon Christian Hurricanes by a score of 6-4. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hurricanes earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Friday Harbor saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harrison Edge, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Friday Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Mount Vernon Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Friday Harbor will welcome Concrete at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Wolverines' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Lions have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. As for Mount Vernon Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Granite Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
