Softball Recap: Cheshire Academy Falls to St. Luke's in First Game of Season

Cheshire Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the St. Luke's Storm by a score of 9-7 on Wednesday. The Cats have struggled against the Storm recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Cheshire Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was K Durkin, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The victory got St. Luke's back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Cheshire Academy will take on Taft School at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Luke's, they will head out on the road to square off against Kingswood Oxford at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
