Softball Recap: Reagan Triumphs

Reagan had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Brennan Bears 1-0. This was a revenge game for the Rattlers: when they faced off against the Bears on Thursday, they had to take a 6-5 loss.

Not much got past Ally Reyes, who gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Brennan off the board. Reyes has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Reagan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sadie Eckles, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Reagan is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Brennan, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.

Reagan will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bears: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
