Baseball Game Preview: Springboro Panthers vs. Badin Rams

The Springboro Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Badin Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Springboro 2.9, Badin 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

While Springboro's win against Troy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers won by a run and slipped past the Trojans 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Badin faced Elder in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Rams came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 5-2. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Brooks Treadway looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Keegan Sawyer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Springboro's record now sits at 17-5. As for Badin, their record is now 19-3.

Springboro couldn't quite get it done against Badin when the teams last played back in May of 2025 as they fell 5-1. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
