Softball Recap: Oroville Hornets vs. Waterville Shockers
Oroville extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping their season record down to 3-11 in the process. They lost 28-7 to the Waterville Shockers. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Shockers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 18-5 loss last Saturday.
As for Waterville, their record is now 10-2-1. The result was nothing new for the Shockers, who have now won eight games by ten runs or more so far this season.
For Waterville's part, Kacey Paige was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, five runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Elsa Ashley, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI.
As of now, neither Oroville nor Waterville have any future games scheduled.
