Softball Recap: David Anderson Has No Trouble Against Heartland Christian

After only two runs in their last match, David Anderson made sure to put some runs up on the board against Heartland Christian on Thursday. The Blue Devils put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 14-2 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-4 on April 4th.

David Anderson let Sofia Brown and Marah Householder run wild. Brown went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Householder went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Householder a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Ammon, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

David Anderson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

David Anderson's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Heartland Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, David Anderson will square off against Salem at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils are facing the Quakers at the right time seeing as the Quakers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Heartland Christian, they will take on Toronto at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Knights have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
