Volleyball Game Preview: L.E.A.D. Academy Lions vs. Escambia Gators

L.E.A.D. Academy is 0-5 against Escambia since August of 2023 but things could change on Monday. The Lions will square off against the Gators at 5:30 p.m.

L.E.A.D. Academy lost 3-0 to Rocky Bayou Christian on Thursday.

L.E.A.D. Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-19, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Escambia can bid farewell to their four-match losing streak thanks to their match on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Pine Forest.

Escambia walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 25-22, 25-27, 25-19.

Escambia's win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for L.E.A.D. Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

L.E.A.D. Academy couldn't quite get it done against Escambia when the teams last played back in August as they fell 3-1. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
