Softball Recap: Skyview Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Skyview never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Battle Ground Tigers 12-0. Winning may never get old, but the Storm sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Malea Figueroa made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Madison Paik tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched.

Back at the plate, Symaran Sivaivai was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run and five RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Audrey Jackson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Skyview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .432. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .407 or higher in six consecutive matchups.

Skyview's record is now 8-1. As for Battle Ground, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyview will welcome Camas at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Storm's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Papermakers have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season. As for Battle Ground, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kelso at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
