Baseball Recap: West Comes Up Short

West and Life Prep pushed the score to 14-6 the last time they played Life Prep, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Pioneers fell just short of the Fire by a score of 2-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Pioneers haven't been shut out since back in March.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-1. As for Life Prep, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-16.

Coming up, West will head out to take on Garden City at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers are facing the Buffaloes at the right time seeing as the Buffaloes are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Life Prep, they will be taking part in a tournament against Thomas More Prep-Marian at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
