Softball Recap: Chippewa Valley Takes a Loss

Chippewa Valley was the 8-4 winner over Clarkston when they last played one another on Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Big Reds lost 17-8 to the Wolves on Wednesday.

Frankie Goodrich was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Sam Mondalek, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Chippewa Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Clarkston, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chippewa Valley will welcome Almont at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clarkston, they will square off against Lakeland at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of.
