Softball Recap: Cambridge Comes Up Short

Cambridge lost to Lake Mills back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bluejays took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the L-Cats. The Bluejays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Casey Travis was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Finley Tuscic, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Cambridge's record is now 2-5. As for Lake Mills, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6.

Coming up, Cambridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Stoughton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bluejays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. Lake Mills has already played their next contest (against Burlington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
