Basketball Recap: Crofton Comes Up Short

Crofton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt an 83-49 loss at the hands of the Battle Creek Braves. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Braves are ranked 110th).

When it comes to explaining why Crofton lost, don't look at Trevor Allen. Despite the final result, he posted 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Jackson, who put up ten points.

Crofton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Battle Creek, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Crofton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wausa at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. Battle Creek will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Cedar Catholic at 7:45 p.m. on February 13th.
