With a playoff win on the line, Buchholz rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 49-41 victory over the Oviedo Lions. The win was nothing new for the Bobcats as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Buchholz's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrew Whittemore, who threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 80 yards and one score on only five carries. Whittemore's longest rush was for an impressive 66 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Buchholz's leading receiver Justin Williams was Whittemore's top target yet again, picking up 156 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, while also rushing for 34 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Buchholz was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 236 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
