Basketball Game Preview: West Brunswick Trojans vs. Topsail Pirates

West Brunswick is 2-8 against Topsail since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The West Brunswick Trojans will venture away from home to challenge the Topsail Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, West Brunswick came up short against Ashley and fell 44-35.

Meanwhile, Topsail unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a blow against Hoggard, falling 55-25. The match marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

West Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Topsail, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Things could have been worse for West Brunswick, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 44-27 loss to Topsail in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can West Brunswick avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
