Baseball Recap: Foothill Comes Up Short

Foothill had taken Shasta down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Cougars fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, with their most recent defeat being a 6-0 loss last Tuesday.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Shasta, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Foothill has already played their next game, an 11-2 loss against Pleasant Valley on the 3rd. As for Shasta, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Enterprise on the 1st.
