Baseball Game Preview: Dexter Dreadnaughts vs. Bedford Kicking Mules

For the second straight game, Dexter will face off against Bedford. The Dreadnaughts will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Kicking Mules at 4:30 p.m. Dexter is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Dexter barely beat Bedford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dreadnaughts put the hurt on the Kicking Mules with a sharp 7-1 win on Monday.

Mason McAllister spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cole Novara was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted over his last 12 matches. Brady Arbaugh was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Dexter pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Bedford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.
