Volleyball Recap: Astoria/VIT Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Astoria/VIT lost against Rushville-Industry two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rebels fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Astoria/VIT sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 21-25, 25-17.

Lainy Greer had an outrageously good game for Rushville-Industry as she had 20 digs and one assist. Those 20 digs gave Greer a new career-high.

Astoria/VIT's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Rushville-Industry, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-15 record this season.

Astoria/VIT and Rushville-Industry are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Rebels will face off against Barry Western at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rushville-Industry, they will take on Routt Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
