Basketball Recap: Hamilton Township Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Hamilton Township posted their closest victory since January 24, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Circleville Tigers 67-64. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 66-45 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Jovon McBride, who went 16 for 24 en route to 39 points. Another player making a difference was Kadan Ahr, who posted seven points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

The victory was the third in a row for Hamilton Township, bringing their record for this year to 15-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Circleville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Hamilton Township will host Fairfield Union at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamilton Township knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Fairfield Union likes a good challenge. As for Circleville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Hillsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
