Baseball Game Preview: Perrysburg Yellow Jackets vs. Findlay Trojans

For the second straight game, Perrysburg will face off against Findlay. The Yellow Jackets will welcome the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Perrysburg 2.5, Findlay 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Findlay will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Perrysburg extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Yellow Jackets came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Trojans.

Tyler Palmer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Palmer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since April 3rd.

In other batting news, Braxton Mefferd was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Lucas Graham was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Findlay and nudges their season record down to 7-5. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Perrysburg, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
