Softball Recap: Dawson Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Dawson and Pearland, and Pearland kept the tradition alive. The Dawson Eagles fell 9-4 to the Pearland Oilers on Tuesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Oilers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Dawson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Pearland, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Dawson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 20-0 win against South Houston on the 7th. As for Pearland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-6 victory against Dobie on the 7th.
