Volleyball Recap: Eagle Ridge Academy Starts Season with Victory Against DSST: Conservatory Green

Eagle Ridge Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the DSST: Conservatory Green Hornets with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Eagle Ridge Academy was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-13.

Cole Crawford paced Eagle Ridge Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Crawford got some help from Makai Kartchner and his 16 assists. Finally, Emilio Wineland kept Eagle Ridge Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.

DSST: Conservatory Green's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Eagle Ridge Academy will face off against Riverdale Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on March 11th. As for DSST: Conservatory Green, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against D'Evelyn on the 6th.
