Baseball Recap: Lodi Comes Up Short

Lodi lost against Wood-Ridge back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rams lost 13-7 to the Blue Devils.

Ryan Reynoso was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Reynoso is crushing it when it comes to home runs: he's launched at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Maximillian Veloz, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Lodi's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2-1. As for Wood-Ridge, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Lodi wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-7 victory against Wallington on the 7th. Wood-Ridge has also already played their next matchup (against North Arlington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
