Gideon had already won 12 in a row and they went ahead and made it 13 on Monday. They put the hurt on the Southland Rebels with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Friday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Gideon took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-11, 25-11.

Karli Ashabranner paced Gideon's offense, picking up 23 kills. Ashabranner got some help from Aubree Sharp and her 30 assists. Sharp was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Gideon's victory bumped their record up to 22-1. As for Southland, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Gideon will square off against Campbell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southland, they will take on Clarkton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
