Softball Recap: Meadowbrook Wins Going Away Against Crooksville

While Meadowbrook put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Crooksville. The Colts put the hurt on the Ceramics with a sharp 7-0 victory. Considering the Colts have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Jordyn Vargeson, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Sommer Ginn, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Meadowbrook kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matches.

Meadowbrook's record now sits at 16-4. As for Crooksville, they moved to 14-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Meadowbrook will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Ceramics: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
