Softball Recap: Carrick Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Win

Carrick strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Perry Traditional Academy Commodores get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jayda Rose made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Aubrey Czapko and Dana Jones did most of the damage at the plate: Czapko went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs, while Jones went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave Czapko a new career-high in RBI (four). Morgan Wyland was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Carrick was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .682. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Carrick's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Perry Traditional Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Carrick will face off against Woodland Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolverines have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.14 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Perry Traditional Academy, they will square off against Taylor Allderdice at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
