Soccer Game Preview: West vs. St. Mary's

The West Wolfpack will head out on the road to challenge the St. Mary's Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mary's took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on West, who comes in off a win.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between West and Kimball, and West kept the tradition alive. The Wolfpack came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering West's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 368th, while Kimball are ranked 960th).

West hit Kimball with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kevin Soto, Emmanuel Valencia, and Jeremiah Valencia.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lodi.

West's victory bumped their record up to 6-2-4. As for St. Mary's, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-2.

West came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Mary's in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Wolfpack have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
