Charlotte Catholic came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-3 to the Providence Panthers. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Rachel Wildman was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and eight unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
