Baseball Recap: Cocke County Comes Up Short

Cocke County lost to Carter on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fighting Cocks fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 3-2. The Fighting Cocks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cocke County now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Carter, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cocke County will head out to square off against David Crockett at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Carter, they will venture away from home to challenge Bell County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
