Basketball Recap: Switzerland County Piles Up the Points Against Rising Sun

Switzerland County won the last time they faced Rising Sun and things went their way on Friday too. The Switzerland County Pacers took their contest with ease, bagging a 68-31 victory over the Rising Sun Shiners. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pacers.

It was another big night for Cam Craig, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points. Mason Peelman was another key player, going 5 for 7 en route to 11 points and six assists.

Switzerland County was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rising Sun only racked up nine assists.

Rising Sun lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brody Morris, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points. That was a full 48.4% of Rising Sun's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Dj Williams, who earned five points and nine boards.

The win got Switzerland County back to even at 7-7. As for Rising Sun, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Switzerland County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-49 loss against South Dearborn on the 25th. Rising Sun has also already played their next matchup, a 60-21 defeat against Hauser on the 25th.
