Basketball Recap: King Philip Regional Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, King Philip Regional couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Bishop Feehan Shamrocks on Thursday, falling 64-38. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Shamrocks are ranked first).

The loss snapped King Philip Regional's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 17-5 record. As for Bishop Feehan, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

King Philip Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Feehan, they will square off against Central on Tuesday. Bishop Feehan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Central likes a good challenge.
