Softball Recap: McMinn Central Takes a Loss

McMinn Central lost against McMinn County back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Chargers took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cherokees. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McMinn Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Peterson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

McMinn Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for McMinn County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-9 record this season.

McMinn Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-6 win against Loudon on the 28th. As for McMinn County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 5-0 defeat against Cleveland on the 1st.
