Woodson proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by five) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the South County Stallions 3-2. Woodson have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw South County, too.

Woodson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four matches. As for South County, they now have a losing record of 3-4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodson will take on West Springfield at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. West Springfield's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for South County, they will face off against McLean at 7:15 p.m. on the 30th.
