The Hampshire Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Eagleville Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hampshire is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Hampshire took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mt. Pleasant, sneaking past 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Hampshire saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kameron nicholson, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Cash Boshers also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Eagleville suffered their biggest defeat since April 10th on Monday. They lost 12-3 to Richland.

Drake Rzemieniewski was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Hampshire's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Eagleville, their loss dropped their record down to 17-15-2.

Hampshire might still be hurting after the 12-5 defeat they got from Eagleville in their previous meeting last Tuesday. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
