Recap: Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders vs. Bridges Prep Buccaneers
It was a good run, but the Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 59-44 to Bridges Prep. Bamberg-Ehrhardt was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bridges Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Bamberg-Ehrhardt lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nigel Myers, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and four steals. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Walker, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Bamberg-Ehrhardt's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Bridges Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bamberg-Ehrhardt will take on Whale Branch at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bridges Prep, they will be playing at home against Branchville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
